Today we Rohingya Call for Justice and Urgent Action
Genocide against the Rohingya people has never stopped in Burma/Myanmar. Even today, our community continues to face persecution, killings, and forced displacement from our ancestral homeland.

On 25 August 2017, the Myanmar Military Junta openly carried out mass atrocities against the Rohingya. Entire villages were burned, thousands of innocent people were killed, and more than 750,000 were forcibly driven across the border into Bangladesh. The world watched as a genocide unfolded.
Today, as we approach 25 August 2025, Rohingya around the world will observe this day as Genocide Remembrance Day. It is a day to honor the lives lost, to remember the survivors, and to demand justice for one of the gravest crimes of our time.
But the suffering of Rohingya people has not ended . And Second wave of genocide since 23 November 2023 in the name of counter attack against military junta tactically , AA killed more than 3000 Rohingya including children, women gang raped, and were burn down the raped victims to void evidence in Rakhine State Myanmar .
We spoke with the victims who are now in refugees camp Cox's Bazar Bangladesh.
In recent months, the Arakan Army (AA) has carried out mass killings and forced displacement of Rohingya civilians in Rakhine State, Myanmar. The Rohingya are once again caught between armed groups and the military junta, facing extermination simply because of their identity and still more 40 thousands Rohingya surviving life as lifeless to escape genocide and trying to get into Bangladesh and Bangladesh government secured the border and Rohingya are dying behind.

At the same time, over 1.3 million Rohingya refugees remain trapped in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, living in overcrowded camps with no future, no freedom of movement, and constant hardship. Every day, new Rohingya are fleeing from Rakhine State to Bangladesh because of massacres and violence committed by the AA and the military. This ongoing crisis is not only destroying lives, but it is also becoming a growing humanitarian challenge for the United Nations and the international community.
The future of the next generation of Rohingya is going underneath in the refugee camps. With no access to proper education, shortages of food, lack of healthcare, and restrictions on freedom of movement, an entire generation of children is growing up without hope. Their dreams are being stolen before they even begin.
Due to genocide, countless Rohingya have fled to neighboring countries such as India, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia. But their suffering has not ended even in exile:
Many Rohingya remain trapped in Malaysia’s detention centers, cut off from their parents and siblings, living like the lifeless without communication or dignity.
Thousands have died in the sea and rivers, trying to escape genocide, only to meet death in overcrowded boats.
We Rohingya do not want to live in camps forever. We want to return home to Myanmar with dignity, safety, and full citizenship rights. We plead with the world to stop the ongoing genocide and ensure our right to live freely in our homeland.
We urgently call upon:
The United Nations, ICC, and all international human rights organizations to take immediate and effective action to hold perpetrators accountable.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) to advance investigations and prosecutions against the Myanmar Military and allied groups for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
World governments and civil society to raise their voices and stop the ongoing atrocities committed by both the Myanmar Military and the Arakan Army.
The Rohingya community cannot wait any longer. Justice delayed is justice denied. We urge the global community to stand with us in truth and solidarity.
25 August 2025 – Genocide Remembrance Day is not just a day of mourning, but a call to action. Together, we must ensure that “Never Again” means never again for the Rohingya.
