My name Saiful Arakani, and we are Rohingya journalists and human rights advocates. I and brother Mohammed Aziz  have been speaking up for my people since 2012, using journalism and activism to raise global awareness of the injustices faced by the Rohingya community. For years, we worked to expose the harsh realities inside refugee camps reporting on the abuse by camp authorities, the actions of armed groups, and the daily suffering of displaced Rohingya families. We took these stories to international platforms, including the United Nations, in an effort to seek justice and accountability. While living in Bangladesh, we was restricted in our ability to work freely. Despite these challenges, we continued to do what we could with courage, honesty, and hope. Now, as a resettled Rohingya in Canada, we have a new opportunity to continue this work without fear. We created this website to continue advocating for justice, sharing truth, and supporting Rohingya newcomers who are beginning a new life here in Canada.

My Journey

Our journey began in 2012, when the Rohingya people were once again targeted by violence, discrimination, and forced displacement. We became journalist not for fame, but out of duty to ensure the world heard our voices. Over the years, we reported on: Human rights abuses in refugee camps Corruption and mistreatment by camp authorities Violence and exploitation by armed groups The resilience and dignity of the Rohingya people in the face of unimaginable hardship We also advocated at the international level, engaging with human rights organizations, the media, and the United Nations to highlight our community’s suffering. Now in Canada, I want to continue this mission with greater freedom and reach.
